Product Description
A multiple effect evaporator enables evaporating water from steam efficiently. Water is boiled in a sequence of vessels that are held at different pressures, each one lower than the next, in a multiple-effect evaporator. Due to the fact that the boiling temperature of water decreases with pressure, the steam boiled in one vessel can be used to heat the other, and only the first vessel at the highest pressure requires additional heat. There are many uses of this apparatus, from crystallization, recovery of solvent to product concentration.
